Nicolas’ Story – Reinventing Winter Mobility
Moonbike’s story began in the French Alps, in the village of Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce. Growing up surrounded by snowy peaks, Nicolas Muron saw how summer was full of mobility options — cars, bikes, skateboards, e-bikes, while in winter, choices were limited to cars and snowmobiles, often noisy and polluting.
UNIQUE PATENTED INNOVATION
With a background in aeronautical engineering, Nicolas applied his aerospace expertise to rethink winter travel. After countless sketches, prototypes, and tests, he created an ultralight, powerful, and nearly silent machine designed specifically for snow. In 2018, Moonbike was born: the world’s first ultralight 100% electric snowbike. From its first prototypes assembled in the Alps to partnerships with Bosch and European ski resorts, Nicolas’ vision was clear, to change the way people experience winter by combining adventure with sustainability.
Ali’s Story – A Lifetime of Building the Future
On the other side of the world, Ali Kazemkhani, founder and CEO of ENVO Drive Systems, shared the same dream. From childhood, Ali was fascinated with creating a snowbike. In fact, before founding ENVO, he had already designed one during his youth, proof that his passion for winter mobility was deeply rooted.
Pioneering Micro-Electric Mobility
With an engineering background, an independent spirit, and a strong passion for sustainable mobility, he didn’t find the right company to work for. As a result, he founded ENVO Drive Systems in Canada in 2015 with the mission of “Rightsizing Mobility for a Healthier Community.”
Since then, ENVO has steadily grown into a leader in light electric mobility, introducing multiple innovations in the field; award-winning e-bikes, trikes, scooters, e-ATVs, and even pioneering urban EVs such as Veemo and UPT.
Ali’s vision has always been to recognize the niche nature of rightsized mobility solutions compared to full-size conventional vehicles and to pursue a sustainable business model that enables these innovative products to exist, evolve, and remain affordable and accessible to early adopters worldwide.
Today, ENVO is successfully realizing his vision of a modular light electric mobility ecosystem, growing at a rapid pace. The company was recognized with the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 award in both 2023 and 2024.

When Nicolas safeguarded Moonbike’s future and crossed paths with Ali, they discovered their passions were perfectly aligned. Both were driven by innovation, both were obsessed with creating the best ride experiences, and both believed winter deserved its own form of sustainable mobility.
In 2024, ENVO acquired Moonbike, marking the start of a new chapter. Backed by ENVO’s global distribution, service infrastructure, and proven track record, including the successful Veemo acquisition, Moonbike now has the strength to scale worldwide.
Together, Nicolas and Ali are leading the charge to make Moonbike the symbol of a new winter revolution: ultralight, silent, electric, and unforgettable.
